fresco & Keistar present:

SOUL SLAM XIV

21+ only with DJ Spinna
 & King Most

SF’s annual dance tradition SOUL SLAM SF: A tribute to Prince kicks off summer on Saturday, June 22nd at Mezzanine. Globetrotting superstar disc jockey, DJ Spinna, headlines the Bay Area’s 14th installment of this epic dance party featuring Prince’s essential compositions, covers, and goodies. King Most & host Hakobo will set the mood and build the anticipation for what is set to be another amazing Soul Slam!

DJ Spinna

Arguably one of the world’s best DJs, DJ Spinna is also one of the most respected producers transcending genres. As one of the top producers in the house scene he has remixed Stevie Wonder, Black Coffee, Shaun Escoffery, Karizma & Kenny Dope; as one of Hip-Hop’s revered producers he’s responsible for the underground classic “Tribute to Dilla” single with Phonte of Little Brother; and as a heavyweight in the world of Soul he compiled the “Wonder of Stevie” with Bobbito, which turned a new generation on to the music of Stevie Wonder. To boot, their “Wonder-full” party became so well known and loved it attracted Stevie himself (!!). Along with Keistar he also created “Soul Slam” – the Prince and Michael Jackson party to end all Prince vs. Michael Jackson parties! There are very few other DJs in the world that can claim the “Triple Crown” rep as a producer, DJ, and brand creator, which is why many consider Spinna to be #1.

King Most
Patrick Diaz aka King Most is a DJ who has toured the world and shared the stage with legends such as Solange, Thundercat, Kaytranada, Anderson Paak, Giorgio Morodor & De La Soul. When he’s not behind the decks shaking hundreds of booties, King Most is a producer and has logged in over one million plays with his productions and remixes which he calls Redirections.
Hakobo

Jacobo Juarez aka Hakobo is a DJ, promoter, music geek, and brain child of some of the Bay Area’s historic music events. Hakobo’s love for music comes through all he does, whether championing the early sounds of broken beat, jazz, and electronic with fresco & the Culprits parties, throwing the very first J-Dilla Tribute in the world, or showcasing the Bay Area’s musical talents through Oakland Music Festival. His heart’s desire is to keep the Bay Area’s music scene fresh or we say in Spanish – fresco.
