Earlier this year, the duo known as Art Department made a massive announcement. After 5 years, and an unprecedented rise in the techno community, Jonny White (head of No. 19 Music) and Kenny Glasglow (Canadian electronic legend) announced their separation. While Glasglow’s departure was completely amicable- the news came as a shock to their nearly cult-like fans and followers.

And who can blame them? The pair changed the electronic game almost instantly after their inception in 2009. Their knack for pushing the sonic envelope took these underground legends and led them to immediate success. Their list of accolades is infinite: having the #1 track of the year at the Beatport Awards in 2011, The second best electronic album in 2011 on iTunes, as well as consistently being dubbed as the hottest DJ duo by outlets such as Resident Advisor, Mixmag, and i-D. Following their initial techno triumph, the team returned to the scene with the hypnotic remix album Social Experiment in 2013, followed by the equally praised full-length sophomore album Natural Selection in 2014.

While Jonny White still charges on under the Art Department name, Kenny has decided to focus on his solo work. BUT HAVE NO FEAR! Glasglow has decided that he will take a tiny break from producing big beats to join his sidekick for a reunion of the ages. That’s right! Both parts of the Art Department duo will be gracing us with their presence, and it’s only going down at Mezzanine June 26th. You won’t want to miss out!
