This summer Mezzanine is kickin’ it old school and getting’ groovy. All summer long, Mezz will be hosting a gang of stellar DJs to get your feet moving. But these won’t be just any old dance party- no, no. For these parties, you’ll have to swap out your boogie shoes and get ready to lace up some skates, because with the help of ANKH Marketing, the Mezzanine you know and love will be transformed into a rad ROLLER DISCO!

To kick our summer series off, we have DJ legend and Stones Throw Records founder Peanut Butter Wolf aka Chris Manak on the decks – and he knows how to get the party started. The Bay Area native got his start selling mix tapes of his turntable work in suburban San Jose in the late 80’s, and now runs one of the most praised independent labels in the world. With releases from J Dilla, Madlib, and the late, great MC Charizma, it is clear that no one can spot a hip-hop talent like Peanut Butter Wolf can. While his DJ sets are rooted in 90’s hip-hop, the Wolf also shows off his insanely varied music palette. From soul and funk to a little post-punk, Peanut Butter Wolf offers up a little something for everyone and it’s all scratched to perfection.

For all you skilled blader’s, feel free to bring your freshest pair of wheels, but if you don’t own a pair of skates- no biggie! There will be rental skates available so you can rock n’ roll all night long. So come skate into summer with Mezzanine, Ankh Marketing, and DJ extraordinaire Peanut Butter Wolf at the Summer Soul Roller Disco Saturday May 9th!
